Safestart @ Safeside
Our Safestart scheme is initially funded to target the parents, carers and prospective parents of pre-school children in Birmingham's Priority Neighbourhoods. From March 2011 we intend extending the scheme so that it is available across the West Midlands.
The programme covers some of the key safety issues for two year olds including road safety and home safety, using the Safeside safety village to enable parents to learn about these issues in a non-threatening, fun, practical and relaxed format.
The scheme will make links with RoSPA's 'Safe at Home' programme.
