Who are we?
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Training and Safety centre. The safety centre is located in Bury, Greater Manchester. We opened our doors in March 2017 and are one of the largest training facilities across the UK. The centre is designed to educate and inform visitors of all ages about how to protect themselves against fire and to have an innovative “real life” insight to what a day in a life of a firefighter, which includes activities to engage the learner. The Safety centre is part of a larger operational training ground where our GMFRS fire fighters conduct there valuable training on “Fire Street” with real houses and buildings that are used for daily training sessions.
