Who are we?
DangerPoint is a registered charity that opened in October 2005 via a partnership of public, private and voluntary sector stakeholders, including North Wales Police, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, BHP Billiton (now Eni Liverpool Bay) and many others. It is also a company limited by guarantee. The building is an old granary building with thick stone walls and is situated within walking distance of Talacre beach. The building lease was donated by BHP Billiton. The fit out costs to put in the various displays were funded by North Wales Police Authority. Since opening there has been a number of new sponsors and displays fitted. DangerPoint originally started with one core programme of delivering to age 10-11 pupils but has expanded due to demand.
